Many insurance companies will cover part or all of the costs associated with mental health counseling / therapy.  You will be responsible for checking on your policy’s reimbursement rate and deductable.  Even if I look up your coverage, I still encourage you to double check your policy.  Sometimes the policy information that I can access is outdated. 
 
  • Call your insurance company before the first session and determine your reimbursement percentage and deductable.  Give them the information listed below to insure coverage.  The insurance policy phone number is on your insurance card.
 
  • Many insurance companies will direct you to download a form for reimbursement.
 
  • You will be required to pay for the full price of each session up front. 
 
  • I will diagnose you with a mental health diagnosis depending on your symptoms. 
 
  • At the end of each session I will give you a special receipt that has all of the information the insurance company will need.   
  • Simply follow the directions on the form and mail in the receipt (make a copy for yourself first) and your insurance company will mail you a check.
 
  • Typically, after you figure out the system, it doesn’t take more than 5 minutes to submit the information for reimbursement.
